PEACE
My daily devotional this morning was a real blessing. It was about Christmas and the Peace of God. Thought I would share it with you. May God give you and yours the PEACE OF GOD and PEACE WITH GOD this Christmas season.
Christmas Brings the Peace of God
by Rick Warren
You will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6 (NLT)

Once you make peace with God, that’s spiritual peace, then you get the peace of God in your heart and that’s emotional peace.
This is the one you really need for daily living. The peace of God happens in your heart when you’ve made peace with God. All of a sudden, the stress in your life goes down. You’re not as angry as you used to be. Things don’t bother you as much. You’re a lot more patient. You’re filled with a lot more love and peace.
Why? Because once you have peace with God, you have the peace of God in your heart.
The Bible says, “Don’t worry about anything. Instead pray about everything” (Philippians 4:6 NLT). You have two choices in life: You can pray or panic, worship or worry. Those are your choices. Worry has never solved a single one of your problems. If you prayed as much as you worry, you would have a lot less to worry about! Prayer can change things. That’s why the Bible says, “Don’t worry. Pray!”
“Pray about everything. Tell God what you need. Thank him for all that he’s done. [And if you do this] You will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6 NLT).
May God help us to “cast our care on Him” this holiday season and claim the PEACE OF GOD that passes understanding. Merry Christmas Life House Friends!!! Pastor James

Though our family from Conway will not be making it in, we are looking forward to having a nice time with our son, Michael, and his little family. Though I will miss the other grandkids, it’s time to realize that they will not be able to be here for every holiday. Though, I ask your prayers for them. I realize that up until now, I’ve been very blessed to be able to share so many holidays and birthdays, especially the births themselves, all but one. Many mothers and grandmothers have not been so blessed. I’ve taken it for granted and I realize it has been a blessing. Forgive me Lord. Glad that the Happy Birthday Jesus event went well. We’ll see you tomorrow to drop off lots of cookies for the Take and Bake.
In the words of red, by Jesus, my Savior, your Savior, He says, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air, they don’t sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavently Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? WHO OF YOU BY WORRYING CAN ADD ONE HOUR TO HIS LIFE?” NIV. (Bold added by me. To me that’s the biggest point of that scripture.) I do have to point that finger at myself here. I’ve always been a worrier, but I’d rather be a warrior, prayer warrior that is. This is a reassurance of His providing for us, among so many promises that He will. I love the promises in the Bible. Sometimes I can be a little thick headed, no argument there, but His promises always prove themselves. PRAISE THE LORD at this time. We may not have all our wants, but we have our needs. If you don’t, there is enough to share.
I thank God for my warm home and some warm clothes today. I thank Him for the ability to see the chiropractor today. That was a God thing as I caught him just as he was about to leave for his hometown in Missouri and he was concerned enough to hang out for 30 minutes to allow me time to get there. I thank God for a husband that drove me in, though I know he is terribly tired from his job demands last week. May the Lord keep Dr. Stolba’s travel safe and bless him for caring enough to wait on me. May the Lord bless the laying on of his hands for my healing.
Thank God for Life House, Bro. James, Cindy, members and non-members and those we haven’t met yet. May God continue to have His hand on us. May souls be saved this coming year and lives be changed. May the fervent prayers of the faithful be blessed. For prayers that may be answered with a “no”, I know God always has something better, in His perfect time. It’s all good – AMEN!!!
Peace, Comfort and Joy to each of you, Kat
