The 2008 Presidential election is now over (AMEN!!) and Senator Barack Obama is now President-elect Barack Obama. I’m sure with the popular vote numbers that I saw on television tonight that there are many people who are excited about the outcome of this election and many who are are saddened. That is always the case in any election. We’ve seen and heard all sides promise great and mighty things during the campaign process..now is the time for the rhetoric to end and for them to live up to their promises. What tomorrow will bring for our country – no one can predict or know. No matter who you voted for – it is our Christian duty to PRAY for those who have authority over us. You and I have never agreed 100% with any elected official and that includes the president. Our duty is to pray for those who are elected. Pray that they will be led by God. Pray that they will turn to the Lord (Jehovah), seek His guidance and that they will seek to lead us with righteous judgment. No matter what tomorrow brings we know that God is still GOD. One thing for sure… OUR KING is still on HIS THRONE! American needs our prayers, our support and a church that is willing to shine the light of God’s love in this dark age we live in. We must seek to live out 2 Chronicles 7:14 as God’s people. It’s time for the church to stand up and be the church that Jesus left us in the world to be. I’m sure I won’t agree with many of the policies, ideas or plans that President Elect Obama will put forth during the coming months and years – but he will be my president. He will have my support and prayers when he is leading us in ways that are moral, ethical and godly. When I disagree with him – I will make it a point to pray. No matter what the future holds I know that God is still in control. Where to from here? ON OUR KNEES CHURCH! Without seeming fippant or mocking I want to close this blog with the words that almost all political candidates and presidents use at the end of their speeches (sometimes I think they use these words as simply a “PERIOD” at the end of a speech instead of with a real hearts desire) and I want you to know that I really mean it —— May God bless America and God bless our leaders. Election Day 2008 is finally here. My advice: Make sure you PRAY and VOTE! After you vote then just leave the rest up to the Lord. Keep praying for America. No matter who wins she still needs a real revival. The work of revival won’t be finished today – far from it. This nation needs to come back to the Lord and the church needs to be on it’s knees like never before. I’m glad i’m an american. I’m glad we have the chance to express our opinion as to who we want to lead our nation. No matter what happens today – KING JESUS is still on His throne – so keep looking to Him for revival! I better go – gotta get to work and then go vote!

We made it home last night right around midnight safe and sound. We had a great time getting to meet the great people at Raymond Road Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi. This church has a big heart for ministry and missions. They were friendly, loving and lots of fun. We enjoyed the worship service Sunday morning. It was filled with great music and a real sweet spirit of worship. They were easy to preach to and they seemed to receive us openly with a big heart. We met with the Missions Committee on Sunday afternoon and had the opportunity to share our vision, goals and needs at Life House with them. They asked some great questions and shared their hearts with us also about their thoughts concerning a possible partnership between Raymond Road and Life House. On Sunday night we enjoyed a “laid back” time of just sharing about about Life House. We had the chance to share how the mission and vision came about, our work thus far and our goals for the future. The church family then had an opportunity to ask questions and they did! It was a good time of fellowship and sharing. In the days to come Raymond Road will be praying and voting how they wish to partner with us. Pray that God would lead them to His will and that when we partner together that we can be as big a blessing to them as they have already been to us. This church took up a very generous love offering for Life House during both services. THANK YOU Raymond Road Church Family! We look forward to joining you as partners in the harvest soon.
A special thank you goes out to Bro. Jonathan and Mandy for their love, support and hospitality. It was great to see them, their family and meet some of their staff. God has great plans for Raymond Road Church in the future and it’s going to be exciting to watch how this church gets out of the “baptist box” and gets into their Jerusalem to reach people. We were even invited to bring a missions team from Life House to join them in an outreach project or two when we partner together. That would be AWESOME for our church family! Life House – pray and get ready!!
It was a blessing for us to hear yesterday morning that the Life House Family had good services, several guests and a great number (75) while were were gone. THANKS to all who filled in for us. It’s great to know that you have people who are more than capable ready to step up and fill in when you need to be gone. The only sad note was…if we had been in the service at Life House we would have set another record attendance. Well – if Jesus tarries His coming – there is always next Sunday! Pray for 80!!!
Well – better finish breakfast – get ready and then head out to school. The mission field is calling and no time to waste! Hey – shouldn’t you be out in the field too? What are you waiting on? GET UP – GET OUT and let’s win some souls for Jesus! More later…!! Pastor James

It’s Sunday morning and I’m sitting in the lobby of a hotel in Mississippi. We are almost ready to go to church and ready to see all that God is going to do today. We are excited to meet new brothers and sisters and get to share the vision of Life House with them. It’s going to be a great day. It’s going to be great to be able to be with Bro. Jonathan & Mrs. Mandy and their children. We’ve known them for many years and we are so proud of how God is using them at Raymond Road Church. Keep praying for us through the day and we will post later how things have been going.
I am also excited about the services at Life House today! Even though we won’t be there I know the Lord will. We are praying for the service. We expect to hear a great report of all that the Lord did there today. Pray for those who are stepping up to lead, preach and guide the services there today. God has some great plans for us at Life House! Better go for now — time to eat, finish getting ready and head out!
Take care and shine for Jesus today! Pastor James
