Well, today was my first day to SUB for the Arkansas school district and believe it or not I and the kids lived through it! LOL It’s been 20 years since the last time I subbed and boy have things changed. One thing I did notice is that the one or two who are “bad” or have a bad attitude really cause those who are in charge to have to focus on them and we tend to forget that 98% of those in the school district really are good kids. It was a blessing to be able to work today with so many I already knew and some that I just met today. Pray for me that I will be able to use subbing as a tool for ministry in the lives of many of the kids I come in contact with. God is so awesome to give us this ministry in College Hill. He knew the timing. He knew the needs. He knew that He would have to get our hearts ready and prepared to “do” this ministry. So – so far so good! Pray for us! Pastor James

God continues to amaze us at Life House. If all goes as planned I am scheduled the first of November to go to a church in Jackson, Mississippi to present Life House and the work here. The church is prayerfully considering become one of our Partner Churches. God continues to put our needs together one puzzle piece at a time. We can’t forsee all of our needs but God continues to open doors for us. Praise God for all He’s doing in the life of Life House. Pastor James

…a few weeks back when I had my scooter accident. I was unable to get out and mow, weed eat, trim, rake or anything else when it came to keeping our yard looking good. Thankfully my dad and one of my friends came and mowed for me a couple of times or the yard would have grown up to the windows. Today I decided that I was going to get out in the yard and work until it looked better. There is no way I was going to get it ALL done but I could at least try to make it look better. What started out as a time of working in the yard alone (Cindy had to work
) ended up with one of our young high school ladies from the church who lives across the street from us coming over and helping me and then one by one neighborhood children came over to “help pastor out”. Well, some were more helpful than others but all help was greatly appreciated. While the yard still isn’t finished to my liking – I can honestly say it looks sooooo much better than it did and with all that took place I know that I got the chance to “hang out” and even meet some new friends in the neighborhood. Hmm…labor day…working in the yard…wasn’t near as bad as I thought it would be. I am tired but I can lay my head down tonight feeling good about the day. You never know how a day is going to turn out or end but this is one labor day that was profitable in many, many ways. Who knows what tomorrow will bring. Have a good one and God bless YOU.
