New Faces!
Our day was filled with “new faces” at Life House. From the 1 p.m. Sr. Adult Game Day (each Wednesday at 1 p.m. until…) we saw one new face. This ministry is brand new and will take some time to grow but one new face is one new face! We are looking for others next week!
We saw several “new faces” at the 4 – 6:30 “open gym” for kids and youth. We even saw two adult ladies from our community come to Life Group tonight! (They allowed their children to come to the open gym time.) God is UP TO SOMETHING at Life House! We realize mission work is slow especially multi-ethnic work. We also know that you have to sow the gospel seed and pray. You must gain their confidence and friendship in order to ” bring them into” your circle. Pray for us. This mission work is totally different from anything that Cindy and I have ever been involved in but already it’s been rewarding. Thanks to all of you who pray for us, thanks to all of our Partner Churches and even those who are so faithful to give to Dixie Jackson State Missions Offering and for all who are dedicated to giving to the Cooperative Program. Thanks to all of you – you are making this new mission possible! Thanks and keep praying. Night – Pastor James

Hi Bro. James, Life House members and friends. Tonight was a blessing. The DVD series from the Brooklyn Tabernacle was a special blessing tonight. This series has really been showing me that God will give us the willingness and the strength to complete a good work in us, IF we only allow His Holy Spirit to work in us. There are so many hurting people in the world, and so many who just love a word of encouragement, and even a little loving discipline. JESUS is truly the answer to the world’s problems. As Christians, we need to allow people to see Jesus in us, not just thump a Bible at them. Let them wonder what makes us different, and share that. We may stumble, we may fall, but God is strong enough to pick us up, dust us off, and allow us to start all over again. He deserves our praise!!! Thanks Bro. James for siting the verse Jer. 29:11 tonight. You must have been reading my mind. Your words triggered that verse in my mind and I was turning to it as you began to speak it. Promises like this help keep me going. “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you…plans for the future….” Those are the words of a loving God who wants the best for His children. Thank you to Miss Beth too. My grandkids had a great time tonight learning about the Lord. God Bless You All, Kat
